Come on out and meet your neighbors! On Tuesday, June 1 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op will be hosting a Co-op Community Gathering, at the Sac Co-op Learning Center on 1914 Alhambra Blvd. (right around the corner from the store). Everyone is welcome, Co-op owners and non-owners alike; and the best part is, it’s free.
The highlight of the evening will be guest speaker Charles L. Mason, Jr., community activist and president of the non-profit organization Ubuntu Green. Mason will give a presentation on nurturing the green movement in underserved communities.
The Co-op will also be offering food and drinks: succulent fruits from local, organic farms, and cooling herbal drinks. You will also be able to enter to win raffle prizes, learn about the state of the Co-op, and meet people from around the community. If you’ve been curious about the Sac Natural Foods Co-op but aren’t sure what it’s about, or if you’re an owner and have been shopping there for years, this event should be quite enjoyable.
